Richard Pearson is a professional cleaner, TV presenter and business owner, with over a decade of experience owning and operating his own cleaning business based in the North West of the UK.
His success in the cleaning industry has led to further opportunities in the media, with a large following on Instagram account and ongoing position as co-presenter on hit Channel 5 TV Show Filthy House SOS.
Richard currently splits his time between filming and hosting commitments, planning and writing children’s books, running his successful business and spending time with his two beautiful children.
Richard posts regularly to his followers on Instagram, showcasing a mixture of product recommendations, cleaning hacks and hints, Filthy House SOS news and home life updates.
Richard’s mother taught him about cleaning from a young age. At just 11 years old, Richard took all of his mother’s words to heart and began cleaning his space by himself, for himself. He used cleaning as a therapeutic way of channelling his anxiety, a positive and productive way of escapism. And he hopes to share his love of cleaning with anyone and everyone who will listen!
Richard is dedicated to supporting charities and two particularly close to his heart are Mind and Justice 4 Fathers. In June 2025, Richard has committed to running three marathons back to back – running for 24 hours straight – with the proceeds being donated to both Mind and Justice 4 Fathers. One of Richard’s passions is health and wellbeing, having been on his own journey combining fitness, exercise and healthy living with cleaning and maintaining a relaxing home environment. Richard shares his story, along with methods that help with cleaning smarter rather than harder, with his followers on Instagram and Facebook.
Richard brings his experience to his role on Filthy House SOS; his favourite part of filming centres around getting to know the people he is helping, and supporting them with a sustainable routine and easy tips to help them keep on top of their homes.
